Currently we are #154th in the US with 40386 trophies but this will change as time goes by. Let's keep climbing! Hey guys, it's Yoyosef coming at you again with a new Brawl Stars post. You also know me as Youseffortless on clash royale, but the character limit on Brawl stars didn't let me make that as my username (sad face). Today, I'm going to share with you an official Brawl tier list that many players haven't seen. Let's start it off!
-- S tier: -- Shelly – Heavy Hitter / Midrange Shelly is arguably the best Brawler in the game right now. She is pretty tanky, has a pretty solid range, and hits pretty hard. In close range she can 1-3 shot most brawlers, and from a distance she can slowly poke at you and build her super, which may be the strongest super in the game. She currently excels at all gametypes. Piper – Heavy Hitter / Ranged The introduction of Piper has brought about a lot of complaints about her being OP and needing a nerf. I think she is indeed balanced. What people aren’t necessarily realizing is that she is changing the gameplay meta. In my opinion, the style of play has shifted a bit from a control-type meta to a heavy-hitting, ranged type of meta, where the strength of ranged, higher DPS brawlers is becoming more apparent. As players get good at skill shots (like sniper headshots in traditional FPS games), people are going to have to realize that, just like in FPS games, you can potentially can get sniped at any moment, so don’t be so hasty and predictable with your movements. Piper is the strongest in Bounty, and she seems like a must-have for every bounty game at the moment. Mortis – Crowd Control / Midrange Obviously Mortis excels at SnG, but he’s also good at Bounty. Mortis can be super annoying versus ranged characters. He’s very tough to hit, and because he’s so quick, he can hit you hard without even knowing it. And with a max of 1000 HP, he’s pretty tanky, so unless you have somebody like Shelly or Bull on your team, Mortis can be tough to deal with. -- A Tier -- Bull – Heavy Hitter/Tank With the recent rise of the control and now the ranged meta, it is continuing to become apparent that Bull is the superior of the 2 tanks. IMO he complements ranged characters pretty well, and in close range you will mostly likely lose to bull 1v1, no matter what brawler you are. A strong team that I have been using recently is 2 ranged characters (like Piper and Rico) and a tank in case the enemy gets through. Bull can control the middle while the ranged characters keep the rest of the map controlled. Bull also has a bit of range and a wider cone (making him better than Primo), so, like Shelly, he can more easily build his super to get in or out of scenarios or strategically break walls. Spike – Area Control / Midrange Spike is the best area control character at the moment, in my opinion. When his main attack explodes, it has the largest radius of potential damage. And, if he lands his grenade directly on you, it hits hard, with 120-150 damage per spike, 6 spikes, yields a potential of up to 900 damage in 1 hit (Is that how his mechanics actually work? Theoretically? Either way, he hurts). Also, his super is really powerful. Bo – Area Control / Ranged / Tank Bo is pretty good, in my opinion, because he has a little bit of everything. He may not hit super hard, but he’s got a solid range, very solid health (900 – 1125), and a super that serves as a really nice area control tool. If an enemy Bo hits lots of his shots, you will find yourself struggling the navigate a map full of hard-hitting mines. Nita – Crowd Control / Midrange I struggled with where to place Nita, and a lot of people might not like this, accusing me of just being bad with her. And granted, while that’s probably true, I just don’t personally see her as much of a threat anymore when she’s on the other team. She doesn’t have that much of a range and she doesn’t hit very hard, and besides her bear, she just isn’t that good. Her bear is obviously her strongest feature and tossing a bear into the middle of a fight or near the gem mine in SnG can definitely cause the momentum to shift in a game. A skilled Nita player who can poke really well and build supers can definitely be deadly. Crow – Area Control / Midrange Crow has been slowly rising in the ranks. People are continuing to see the value in his poison ability. It’s not because of the slow decrease in health, instead it’s because it prevents health regeneration for a while, yielding the enemy either weaker in battle or forcing them out of the battle for longer, giving you time to regain control. He may not hit hard, but he has a decent range and a wide cone, making the risk of poisoning that much greater. -- B Tier -- Ricochet – Heavy Hitter / Ranged Besides Piper, Ricochet may be the strongest ranged character in the game. He hits super hard and, when in the hands of a skilled player, is very dangerous. Granted, IMO he is one of the most difficult brawlers in the game to skillfully play. However, with my current theme of ranged characters becoming stronger in this meta, Rico has a very large range and indeed hits very hard, making him A tier worthy IMO. Yes I do realize that Piper can basically eliminate him in one shot. However, a Piper with no elixir on her attack can NOT do this (460 damage versus 500 health), and if you have a maxed Piper versus a Maxed Rico, she also cannot (575 damage versus 625 health). A maxed Piper versus a no-elixir Rico? RIP… Colt – Heavy Hitter / Ranged Colt can be difficult to use, but we all know that if the enemy team has a skilled Colt on the other end, he’s very dangerous. If you can learn to strafe in a similar pattern to your opponent and you get good understanding of the lead required to land shots, it’s possible to hit most of the 6, and man does Colt hurt. Jessie – Area Control / Ranged Like Nita, I am finding Jessie a bit underwhelming. Her attack is good in that it has a nice range and bounces off players (for an even longer range), but she also doesn’t hit very hard. Her turret is good, but not super ridiculously game-changing good. Comparing Nita to Jessie, Jessie’s attack is better than Nita’s but Nita’s bear is better than Jessie’s turret. Poco – Crowd Control / Midrange I think Poco is underwhelming. He excels at SnG, a gametype that focuses on a specific portion of the map, and because Poco can slowly poke players and build his super to heal, that makes him powerful. But other than that he doesn’t do much. His heal loses value in Showdown, he is just OK at Heist, and IMO he isn’t as good at Bounty because, unlike SnG, the game doesn’t focus on controlling one specific portion of the map, so battles occur in more places than just the center. -- C Tier -- El Primo – Tank El Primo is just not that good, besides showdown and people see that. Unless you catch somebody off guard from a bush, it’s tough to get close, and his super is slow enough for people to move or to get some bonus shots off. Barley – Area Control / Midrange Barley is slowly dropping in the ranks. It’s not that he doesn’t do a good job with area control, it’s just that he doesn’t have any immediate damage per second. His attack does damage over time, which is nice for distance area control, but RIP when a heavy-hitter gets close to you or gets the upper hand. -- D Tier -- Brock – Ranged People say Piper makes Brock irrelevant. Here’s how we should fix Brock. 1) We should give his attack a larger width. Maybe like Nita’s. It’s more of a rectangle than a line. This will compensate for the slowness of his rockets. 2) We should give him a bit more of an explosion when the rocket lands. This could make him more of an area control type player. 3) We should give him a bit of a damage boost. Not a lot, maybe just +20 or something, but getting hit by a Brock missile just doesn’t hurt that much. That would make Brock a unique character. Dynamike – Area Control / Midrange Trash Dynamike is my personal least favorite character in the game. He is basically an underwhelming Barley. His attack doesn’t have a large area-of-damage, so you have to be more accurate, and he’s always just kind of “meh” to me. As you guys all know, teaming has become almost a must in Showdown since the past few days. The community decided that teaming was going to give them an advantage in Showdown mode, so the general "teaming symbol" was created. To team in Showdown, all you have to do to team is spin around in the same spot a few times. If the person you are trying to team with spins back, cautiously move towards them. If they do not attempt to kill you, you have most likely become a team. The risk, however, is that teaming may mean you can easily get killed. Your teammate(s) can easily kill you from short range if they have a high close-range damaging brawler(Bull, El Primo, Shelly, etc.), so be cautious when teaming with them. Make sure they share some elixir with you, or they most likely will end up killing you once they have the chance or deem you are worthy to kill. Be careful while teaming, but don't completely avoid it if you see others teaming either. It's a high risk; high reward scenario. Good luck in Showdown mode, brawlers! Hey guys, I put together an article talking about everything you need to know about the Star Player rank in Brawl Stars. View it below or check it out on the Reddit post (yes, I'm PattyfistBoomYT).
Reddit link : https://redd.it/6jfut4 [Guide] All about Star Player If you have been brawling outside of Showdown mode lately, you may have noticed that there is always a "Star Player" at the end of each match. You also may have wondered what it means and how someone receives the "Star Player" rank. In this guide, I'll go through what the "Star Player" rank actually means. What is it? Seeing yourself as the "Star Player" makes you feel like you were the most important or best player in that round. While this is somewhat true, remember that without the synergy of your team-mates, you guys may not have won. Every round, the "Star Player" rank is given to one player, but that does not mean other players were not as important. Don't go bragging about getting "Star Player" too much, because you aren't the only player who has gotten it. Who Gets the Rank? "Star Player" get awarded to one person each round, as previously stated. However, both the winning and losing (your team and the enemy team) can get the rank. Even if your team or the opponents team loses, a player on that team can be the "Star Player" regardless. Just because you win does NOT mean your team will always have someone awarded "Star Player". This goes the same with all the game modes except Showdown (no Star Player here). This being said, just because you get the most crystals on a Smash and Grab round, the most stars at the end of a Bounty match, or you destroy the safe in Heist mode, it DOES NOT guarantee you will get the "Star Player". Don't worry though, since if you do all those things, you have contributed a lot during the round, which makes it more likely for you to be awarded "Star Player". How is the Star Player Picked? "Star Player" is picked by the system through different algorithms. It picks depending on the damage done (kills), deaths, contribution, and usefulness in the round. In S&G, the best way to get "Star Player" is by getting crystals (like I mentioned above, getting 10 crystals does NOT guarantee "Star Player", only helps the chances) and killing opponents with more crystals. In Bounty, it's all about the kills and deaths. The more kills you get without dying, the more stars you get (max. of 7), which ultimately increases the chances of you being hunted but also the chances of you being the "Star Player". Finally, in Heist, the best way to achieve "Star Player" is by damaging the safe as much as possible. If you see an opening to the safe, go for it and deal as much damage as possible before dying. If you are defending, make sure to get the kills in and prevent damage taken to the safe. *In ALL the three game modes, kills and deaths are huge contributing factors to getting the "Star Player" achievement. The more kills and less the deaths you get, the greater chances of you getting "Star Player". How is it Rewarding to Be Star Player? Being the "Star Player" doesn't mean much as of now. The only rewards it gives is pride and some bonus XP (I believe it's 10). In a match, don't focus too much on getting "Star Player", instead, just play the round as best as you can and you will naturally get "Star Player". If you focus too much on getting "Star Player", your team may lose which ultimately reduces your chances of getting "Star Player" from about 17% (assuming everyone gets the exact same amount of kills, deaths, and other contributing factors) to maybe 5%. Remember, the game is all about synergy and teamwork. Hopefully int the future, Supercell will add a Star Player count in the player info tab or at least some reward for getting "Star Player" (that isn't bonus XP, since leveling up faster isn't what most people want). That's all I have for the "Star Player" rank in Brawl Stars. If you have any comments, feel free to leave them below. I hope this guide helped you understand more of what Star Player is and how you can get the title. Continue brawling, Brawlers, and good luck in Brawl Stars.
